I want to speak to you today about resilience.
About how we overcome life’s greatest challenges.
About obstacles, setbacks, and the strength it takes to rise again.
There’s a good chance that you, too, have had to walk through your share of hardship.
Maybe in your personal life.
Maybe in your organization.
Maybe in your career.
Whatever the case, you’re here.
And that means something.
To explain this part of the journey, I want to share a story.
This story comes from an elder in my community when I was growing up.
It stayed with me.
And I hope it will stay with you.
As I share it, I want you to picture your own life.
Your own journey.
Think about what brought you to this moment.
And where you want to go from here.
Because every one of us has challenges.
Every one of us faces hard times.
But we also get to experience joy.
Success.
Breakthroughs.
The real test isn’t whether or not we struggle.
The test is how we respond when we do.
How we carry ourselves when the world feels heavy.
How we get back up when everything in us wants to stay down.
That’s what shapes our future.
That’s what determines how far we go.
So today, I invite you to lean in.
Sit back.
Open your heart.
Open your energy.
And take in what I’m about to share.
Not just as a story from my past.
But as a reminder for your future.
Because resilience isn’t something we’re born with.
It’s something we build—together.
